Wobzip is a new startup service which basically allows you to uncompress compressed files directly online. Now you would ask, why is this necessary when I already have my favorite compression utility software sitting here right on my desktop?

Well, here's the answer. Suppose you want to download only one file of 5 mb size from, lets say, a 50 mb file. Downloading the extra 45 mbs would be a waste of both time and bandwidth. So here's where Wobzip comes in. It allows you to uncompress files directly from a URL. All you have to do is paste the file link in a URL after which Wobzip will uncompress the file and show you its contents. People having really slow connections will definitely find this service useful.

It supports the following features:

  1. Wobzip supports a wide variety of compression file types mainly, 7z, ZIP, GZIP, BZIP2, TAR, RAR, CAB, ISO, ARJ, LZHCHM, Z, CPIO, RPM, DEB and NSIS.
  2. Scan compressed files using anti-virus scanner, so any infected files will be removed before the file is downloaded on the computer.
  3. The maximum file size limit is 100 mb per file.
  4. You could also Unzip a url directly by using this link:
    http://wobzip.org/?type=url&url=FILE_URL_HERE&p=PASSWORD_HERE
